The Annual Meeting of the German Biophysical Society 2016 will take place in Erlangen between September 25th and 28th. The conference is jointly organized by the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Max-Planck-Institute for the Physics of Light. As an interdisciplinary oriented association the DGfB will bring together scientists from various research fields to stimulate and promote the exchange of ideas and information about biophysics.
The focus of the meeting 2016 will be on Molecular Biophysics, Membranes, Cells, Networks, and Medical Biophysics. The different aspects of Biophysics will be highlighted in plenary sessions and completed by numerous short talks as well as poster presentations.

Apart from approximately 30 invited talks, additional ~40 talks will be selected from the submitted abstracts. Additionally, the conference will host a Young Investigators Award competition, offering the possibility for short plenary talks as well as for attractive prizes.
